I’m on a mission to help people build better photos.
Quick Bio
I write, host a podcast, and build things over at Google Design
Born in ABQ, raised in DFW/SAN, currently living in JFK/EWR/LGA.
Each week I write two popular emails. The Tuesday edition, Marvelous Marvelous, is a collection of the most marvelous things I’ve learned about that week. And on Fridays, I publish The Breakdown. In it I feature a product photo and breakdown why the image is great, and what styling principles it embodies.
Sign up for The Breakdown on my podcast page.
I’m in the process of building up my library of content. Read some of my short form articles like my piece on What is a Prop Stylist, or read about my 12 Favorite Problems. I also have a popular series called “Letters with my Dad.” It's a peek into my inbox, in which my Dad and I tell short stories to each other about the everyday happenings in our lives. We’ve been writing to each other on a near daily basis since I flew the coop and went to college. It’s pretty sweet.
My podcast, The Prop Stylist, is all about how to build a better photo. My co host Kyle Furlong and I interview the stylists, photographers, florists, set designers, and producers behind the lens of every great photo. Season one launches this fall, sign up to be the first to know when it goes live.
